This reader is equipped with eSATAp connection to take advantage of data and power from the eSATA USB Hybrid Port. By using the optional Addonics USB 3.1 or USB 3.0 - eSATAp adapter adapter, this CFast Card Reader/Writer can access any CFast media via the latest SuperSpeed+ USB 3.1, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 or the ubiquitous USB 2.0 port and be directly powered from the USB port with the included eSATAp cable.
